Margaret Dalton, Danny P. Wallace, and Jeff Weddle, Principal Investigators from the University of Alabama School of Library and Information Studies, are conducting a study called Reference Today: Mediated and Face to Face. The purpose of the study is to explore reference instruction in the online era, with a focus on the congruences, divergences, opportunities, and challenges that characterize online and face-to-face instruction.
Taking part in this study involves completing a web survey that will take about thirty to forty-five minutes to complete. This survey contains questions about the programmatic context for reference instruction, delivery and interaction methods, access to reference tools, course objectives, and course content.
