Assistant/Associate Professors, College of Education and Psychology -- 
University of Southern Mississippi -- Mississippi
 
THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPICOLLEGE OF EDUCATION AND PSYCHOLOGY
Announces the following faculty and program coordinator vacancies:
College Student Personnel Services. The successful candidate will be an
integral part of an innovative master's program for college student
personnel services. College Student Personnel Services Program
Coordinator. The successful candidate will be an integral part of an
innovative master's program for college student personnel services.
Elementary Education/Early Childhood Education. The successful candidate
will teach undergraduate and graduate elementary or early childhood
courses; advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students; supervise
field and clinical experiences; build collaborative relationships with
K-12 faculties; conduct, present and publish scholarly research; provide
service to the department, the university and the community; and secure
internal and external funding sources.Experimental Psychology. The
successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching; an ability
to establish an active, programmatic line of research and seek external
funding. Applicants with cognitive and developmental expertise are
encouraged to apply. However, qualified applicants from other areas will
be given full consideration.Experimental Psychology--Gulf Coast. The
successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching; an ability
to establish an active, programmatic line of research and seek external
funding. Applicants with expertise in social psychology, behavioral
neuroscience, cognitive psychology and developmental psychology are
especially encouraged to apply. However, qualified applicants from other
areas will be given full consideration.Library and Information Science
Education. The successful candidate will be competent with information and
communications technologies, services to multicultural populations, and
interdisciplinary approaches to information problems. Literacy/Language
Arts. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate
literacy and language arts courses; advise and mentor undergraduate and
graduate students; supervise field and clinical experiences; build
collaborative relationships with K-12 faculties; conduct, present and
publish scholarly research; provide service to the department, the
university and the community; and secure internal and external funding
sources.P-12 Educational Administration. The successful candidate will
take an active role in the delivery of an innovative master's, specialist
and doctoral program. Applicants are required to have a minimum of five
years of P-12 school or central office level administrative
experience.P-12 Educational Administration Program Coordinator--Gulf
Coast. The successful candidate will take an active role in the delivery
of an innovative master's, specialist and doctoral program. Applicants are
required to have a minimum of five years of P-12 school or central office
level administrative experience; preference given to applicants with
program coordination experience. School Counseling. The successful
candidate will be an integral part of an innovative master's program for
school counseling services. The School Counseling Program is primarily
delivered during summer sessions. Applicants are required to possess a
minimum of five years P-12 (school level) counseling experience. School
Psychology. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in
teaching; an ability to establish an active, programmatic line of research
and seek external funding. School Psychology--Gulf Coast. The successful
candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching; an ability to establish
an active, programmatic line of research and seek external funding. Special
Education/Mild-Moderate. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate
and graduate elementary or early childhood courses; advise and mentor
undergraduate and graduate students; supervise field and clinical
experiences; build collaborative relationships with K-12 faculties;
conduct, present and publish scholarly research; provide service to the
department, the university and the community; and secure internal and
external funding sources.Assistant/Associate Professor applicants must
possess a doctorate in the appropriate field of study at time of
appointment. Instructor applicants must possess a master's degree in the
appropriate field of study at time of appointment. Interested applicants
