Bechtel Jacobs Company Job Posting Salary is $45,000-$55,000 range Classification Title: Sr. Public Affairs Specialist Grade: 25 Requisition No: BJC-071-99-1004 Organization: Public Affairs Location: Paducah, Kentucky Number of Openings: 1 Posting Date: September 30, 1999 Closing Date: October 8, 1999 ____________________________________________________________________________ ________________ Duties: Responsible for managing a planned and coordinated external and internal communications program that supports the public affairs scope of Bechtel Jacobs Company at the Paducah Site and DOE activities as needed, and includes: · Coordination of publications such as newsletters, fact sheets, brochures and presentations. · Coordination of site media relations in cooperation with DOE Paducah Site Office and Bechtel Jacobs Company Public Affairs. · Coordination of Site Specific Advisory Board and public involvement activities for Paducah site. · Oversight of Paducah input on DOE and Bechtel Jacobs Company web pages. · Support to DOE Paducah Site Office, including tours and presentations. · Coordinate internal communications for Bechtel Jacobs Company employees at Paducah. Job-Related Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in a communications field such as journalism, public relations or a related degree program. · Minimum of five years experience in a responsible public relations/public involvement/media relations position that includes planning and implementing a comprehensive program. · Must have experience in and knowledge of electronic publications process, including experience with newsletters, fact sheets, brochures, and presentations. · Must be highly skilled in writing news releases, fact sheets, presentations, and other public information products. · Must have a portfolio of writing samples for review.
