After input from members, the board of directors of the Volunteer Chapter of PRSA has voted to instruct our delegates to the upcoming annual meeting of PRSA in Anaheim to vote no on the questions of revoking the requirement that members be accredited to serve in a national office or as an assembly delegate and on raising annual dues. The board also voted to instruct our delegates to vote to table the dues increase for further study if that option is presented. Mary Beth West ran an e-mail survey of members when the dues question first was raised, and feeling was pretty strong that our chapter would lose members if dues were raised. Most of our members pay their own dues, and an increase would be a hardship.
