You are invited!

Attend the “Marrakech Framework for Action: Connecting to Global Initiatives for Lifelong Learning and Adult Education"---a webinar to be held APRIL 11, 2024, 10:00 – 11:45 AM EDT, co-hosted by the Coalition of Lifelong Learning Organizations (COLLO) and the International Council of International Adult Education (ICAE). Discuss aims, central themes, and recommendations of the Marrakech Framework of Action (MFA), an outcome of the Seventh International Conference on International Adult Education (CONFINTES VII), held June 2022 in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Guests include:
· Katarina Popović, Secretary General of ICAE
· Raffaela Kihrer, Deputy Secretary General and Head of Policy at the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA)
· Peter Waite, Vice President, North America ICAE

Explore the MFA’s value and importance and ways current U.S. programming intersects the MFA's priorities. Raffaela views the MFA as a “key document that supports the empowerment of individuals and communities worldwide and promotes sustainability in all its dimensions, active citizenship, and life skills, contributing to a just transformation of society.” Peter asks, “What can we learn from global partners and what can we share with them?” Katarina emphasizes, “ For adult educators, the MFA is akin to a holy book, updated every 12 years.” She advocates, “Let's delve into its wisdom and explore how we can implement it effectively.”

Please see the attached infographic created by the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) for more information about the Marrakech Framework for Action.
