Hi Everyone

It's only 25 days until the annual Tennessee Library Association conference being held this year in the fabulous Franklin, Tennessee! The town of Franklin is picture postcard perfect all the time and we'll be arriving to the  riot of color with spring blooming everywhere. That alone is worth the trip and we haven't even talked about great sessions full of information you can use immediately in your libraries, pre-conferences that take a deep dive into some helpful topics, vendors with the newest products to make your library lives easier, and our absolutely incredible keynote speaker, author and humorist, THE Sweet Potato Queen Jill Conner Browne. Show up just to see what she's wearing! I mean, the crown and sequins may abound at the opening general session. You just never can tell.

Have you made your plans? Got your tickets for one day, both days, pre-conferences, lunches, and the all conference reception (there will be music, games, and a signature cocktail!!). You DO know there are some FREE pre-conferences, right?

And, have you got your hotel room booked at the beautiful conference hotel, the Cool Springs Marriott?! It's so hard to bring the conference to middle Tennessee due to the costs of doing so with local conference hotel centers but your conference committee has made it happen this year! You won't be disappointed and it's the ultimate way to CONNECT with the many librarians across the state to network, share stories, get helpful ideas to improve your libraries, and work through problems to find solutions that will work. If there's one thing I know, it's that I learn something at every conference I go to because Tennessee librarians know things and share the benefit of their experiences.

You still have time, there are still a few rooms available at the conference rate in the conference center, so go get yours before they are all gone! I want to see you all, I want to hear what you're doing, and I want to thank you in person for allowing me to serve you this year. So come on down and join us!
