Library School Students (any school), Library staff, and new or non-published librarians:

Do you have a library school paper you are particularly proud of?

Do you have an idea for a paper, but you would like some suggestions on how to make it ready for submission?

Are you new to the field and would like to begin publishing?

Are you a staff member who has an idea for a paper reflecting your work or your library?

We encourage you to submit your papers for inclusion in Kentucky Libraries, the peer-reviewed journal of the Kentucky Library Association (KLA). Your papers can either be written in library school or original works.

Advantages:

The process:

  1. Submit your paper to Claudene Sproles, [log in to unmask]. She will give you feedback on how to make your paper ready for publication.
  2. When your paper is ready for official submission, it will be sent through the normal peer-review process with Kentucky Libraries.
  3. Once it passes peer-review, it will be published as a submission to Kentucky Libraries new feature, “Fresh Perspectives.”
  4. If you wish, you will also be put in contact with a professional mentor with KLA.

If you would like to submit a paper for consideration in our new feature, please email your submission to Claudene Sproles [log in to unmask]

We look forward to your submissions! ~Kentucky Libraries Editorial Board.
