The Research & Instruction Services Department is seeking a Unit Lead for Science & Engineering. This is a great opportunity for Research Services Librarians looking to expand their skills and job duties to include supervision. As a Unit Lead, you will have the chance to supervise and manage a small team of librarians while actively expanding campus reach. These positions offer an opportunity for Research Services Librarians to expand their skills and job duties by stepping into a leadership role. In addition to the supervisory responsibilities, Unit Leads will be responsible for research assistance, library instruction, and collection development in selected subject areas based on their own background and interests. The Unit Leads will report directly to the Head of Research & Instruction Services, ensuring clear communication and support within the department. Additionally, a strong mentorship program is in place to provide guidance and support as you progress in your career. We have recently hired 3 other unit leads in R&I, all new to supervising other librarians, with the aim of creating a cohort for new supervisors.
