This is for all the E-Rate filers out there!

 

I’m sending another friendly reminder about upcoming deadlines (please see attached Eligible Services List for FY24) and below for the original email about deadlines below as well.

 

The FY24 (fiscal year 24-25) deadline to file the FCC Form 470 is February 28^th!

• Don’t forget that FCC Forms 470 must be posted/certified for at least 28 days before an FCC Form 471 can be filed.
• Remember that this form is available to file in the EPC portal.
• In some cases, you may not be required to file an FCC Form 470.  To see if you qualify for CABIO (Commercially Available Business Class Internet Option), check the three qualifying exemption criteria.   Remember to always check with your local funding body about any local bidding requirements/rules you may also have to follow.
• USAC also has a helpful FCC Form 470 Services Guiding Statements Reference Table to aid you in completing your FCC Form 470. 

 

The FY24 (fiscal year 24-25) deadline to file the FCC Form 471 is March 27^th!

• If you’ve completed your bidding process (or know you meet the CABIO exemption criteria with your service provider) and signed a contract/agreement, you can file your FCC Form 471 to apply for discounts.  Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they had a contract or other legally binding agreement in place at the time they submitted and certified an FCC Form 471.  A verbal agreement is not considered a legally binding agreement under E-Rate program rules.  USAC has further helpful information on their Contracts page. 
• If you use the CABIO exemption and your service provider requires a contract/agreement, you can see this helpful video about How to Create a Contract Record using CABIO.   If you aren’t using the CABIO exemption and have a contract/agreement to upload, you can view this helpful video about How to Create a Contract Record. 

*Note: You do not need to create a new contract record for a multi-year contract or a contract with voluntary extensions if you previously created the contract record in EPC for that contract.

• Remember that this form is available to file in the EPC portal.

USAC has recently released some important dates to note, so I wanted to share those with you before this long holiday weekend.  For the upcoming funding year (FY24) – fiscal year 2024-2025 - here are some important reminders:

 

• The FCC has released the Eligible Services List (ESL) for FY 24!  I have attached the ESL to this email for your reference.  For further information (including an ESL Glossary and FAQ link), please visit USAC’s Eligible Services List webpage. 

 

• The EPC Administrative Window will close on January 12^th.  I sent an email on 11/01/23 as a reminder to please log into your EPC – E-Rate Productivity Center portal and check / update your entity profile information for accuracy.  For further information about the EPC Administrative Window, be sure to check out USAC’s website as well.

 

• The E-Rate FY24 Form 471 Application Filing Window opens at 12:00 pm ET on January 17^th!  Applicants will have until March 27^th to file their FY24 FCC Forms 471.

 

• Since we know the application deadline for the FCC Form 471 is March 27^th, that means the last day to file the FCC Form 470 will be February 28^th at 11:59 pm ET.  Remember that, if you are filing an FCC Form 470, you must post it at least 28 days BEFORE your FCC Form 471 must be filed.

 

 

As usual, I’ll be sending out more reminders about filing for E-Rate for this upcoming funding year cycle, but just wanted to let you know about those important dates as soon as possible.
