[A black and white logo Description automatically generated] Southern Library Support Staff Conference Wednesday, May 29th-Friday, May 31st Vanderbilt University Nashville, TN Deadline for Submission: March 1, 2024 The Southern Library Support Staff Conference (SLSS), formerly known as Nashville Area Library Alliance Conference (NALA), is now calling for proposals for our 2024 Annual Conference. The theme is "Embracing Change and Forging the Future of Libraries." SLSS 2024 is looking for proposals from all types of libraries and all areas of library work. We want to primarily focus on the changing environment of libraries and the way that we as libraries need to move forward with these changes. Everything from mental health, IDEA, how to deal with the implementation of AI, etc. We are willing to look at every aspect of library life and how we progress as a whole. Proposal Formats SLSS's 2024 conference will feature a variety of program formats: * Contributed presentations: 60-minute time slots, including 10 to 15 minutes for audience participation. * Two or three hour workshops * Panel discussions Submissions Submit proposals by March 1, 2024.
