Dear All,

Please consider enrolling a new course, GEOG 424 (LiDAR Technology and Applications), which I will teach in Spring 2024. Attached is a flyer for this course.

Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) technology has been widely used to generate 3D topographic and environmental data and solve problems in the natural and man-made environments. This course introduces LiDAR principles, data processing methods, and applications in forestry, urban environments, natural disaster, and Earth surface processes. Through this course, you will develop new skills needed for today’s geospatial industry and use LiDAR data to solve real-world problems.

GEOG 424 will meet at 12:55 to 2:10 pm TR in BGB 404. If you have taken GEOG 311 or have some basic GIS knowledge, you should be able to take GEOG 424.

Please feel free to reach at [log in to unmask] if you have questions.
