Hi folks!
Sorry for all the E-Rate program messages lately, but there are quite a few deadlines, updates and changes coming this month, so here are some
final reminders
from USAC! You can always view USAC announcements here -
https://www.usac.org/e-rate/resources/announcements/.
Also, be sure you subscribe to the E-Rate News Brief (always full of helpful information and reminders) here -
https://www.usac.org/e-rate/learn/news-brief/.
Deadline for invoicing (BEAR - FCC Form 472) for FY22 is Monday, Oct. 30th.
If you need to file for an invoice extension, directions are available in the
Sept. 21st News Brief or in my email sent on 10/3/23.
Deadline for filing the FCC Form 486 for most of you for FY23 is also Monday, Oct. 30th.
My apologies, as I think I said that was Oct. 31st in a previous email. It is NOT the 31st.
If you do appear to be late in filing, USAC sends a notification reminder to the contact person listed on the FCC Form 471 and you will have 15 days after the date of the letter to get the FCC Form 486 certified without penalty. This notification can
also be seen in your News feed in the EPC portal as well. But, please don’t wait to file this. Go ahead and file it by Oct. 30th!

The administrative window is the period during which applicants can make updates to their entity profile information in EPC to prepare for the upcoming FCC Form 471 application
filing window. The administrative window opens Tuesday,
October 24 and will close shortly before the FY2024 application
filing window opens early in 2024 when applicant entity profiles will be locked.
USAC is consolidating its E-Rate SL Legacy systems into the E-Rate Productivity Center (EPC). All
E-Rate invoicing related forms – the FCC Forms 472 (Billed Entity Applicant Reimbursement (BEAR)), 473 (Service Provider Annual Certification (SPAC)), and
474 (Service Provider Invoice (SPI) and (eSPI)) – will be moved into EPC as part of this consolidation effort.
System cutover from the SL Legacy systems into EPC is expected
to occur between October 30, 2023 and November 7, 2023.
For more detail, please see the Special
Edition News Brief of September 14, 2023
USAC will be hosting an E-Rate systems consolidation Training Overview webinars in October to introduce upcoming changes, prepare you for the transition, and guide you through
steps you can take now to prepare for the transition from the SL Legacy invoicing systems to EPC.
E-Rate Systems
Consolidation Training Overview Webinar: October 4, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM EDT
