Setting up Journal Alerts

For titles available in Gale databases, in a few easy steps, you can set up a journal alert to get links to reviews emailed to you when a new issue is published. There are a number of high-quality journals that contain book reviews to help with reader advisory and collection development!

 

Creating a Journal Alert

  1. Click on Advanced Search on the TEL Homepage (next to the search box on the right side of the screen)
  2. Click on Publications Search menu option
  3. Enter and Select Title
  4. Click Create Journal Alert on the toolbar
  5. Enter in your info
  6. Start receiving daily, weekly or monthly journal alerts!

Did you know that Gale Books and Authors also contains book reviews? Use this Reader Advisory tool to pull multiple book reviews!

 

  1. Go to Gale Books and Authors
  2. Search for a book
  3. Underneath Book Cover image, click on Reviews
