The Tennessee Library Association Advisory Council and Board met Friday, June 9.  One of the items on the agenda was to issue a statement in support of libraries and library staff.  Our hope is that you will take this statement and use it as you see fit, by taking out TNLA and inserting your name as appropriate.  This could consolidate and unify our message state-wide and give us all a go-to answer when asked for a quote from media outlets. The statement:

"Censorship is wrong. Attacking librarians is wrong. The Tennessee Library Association fully supports parents making decisions for their own children, but libraries serve everyone in their communities. It is time to trust librarians to do their jobs."
