Dear Undergraduates,

Adding some research experience to your Fall schedule can strengthen your undergraduate course work by introducing you to new ideas and people, and can give you skills that will help you in your future career.

One option to get research experience is through Geography 494: Undergraduate Research Experience.  This is an independent course for which you sign up on special paperwork that you work out with the faculty member who will oversee your work.

As in the advertisement above, I am looking for undergraduates who are interested in working with me to develop records of long-term fire history in Tennessee.  I may have other Geography 494 opportunities, and other faculty in the department may also have research opportunities.  Reach out and investigate!

Best wishes,

Sally Horn
