Subject: [DDDHLIST] UPDATE from the Center for Global Engagement - Guidance for International Students

All,

I am writing to share two points of information for your use and sharing you’re your international students.

1.      Income Tax resources for students

2.      Additional information regarding cost of attendance (visit web link for full details)

It is tax season! Please share this information with your students and remind them that they will need to prepare and file their taxes. To help with this, International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) has created two tax guides for international students and employees. Complicated cases and individuals with multiple tax treaty benefits may need to seek outside tax advisements.

Cost of attendance for the University of Tennessee is directly reported on the form I-20. A certification of finances is required for the issuance or updating of the form I-20. Information on cost attendance for international students and dependents is provided at https://international.utk.edu/visa-funding/. Questions regarding the certification of finances can be directed to William Vittetoe at [log in to unmask].
