Dear all, 

I want to make all of you aware of these undergraduate research opportunities.  These include opportunities for both faculty and students. There is one additional program below (AACMSP) that will be open to applications by the end of the week. I've included the link here, but please note that the application itself won't be updated and live for a few days.


Spring Semester Opportunities:

  • Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement (EURçCA): The largest display of undergraduate research on campus. EURçCA is a spring poster symposium for students who have conducted research with UT faculty throughout the year. Abstracts due March 24.  Event on April 25. https://eureca.utk.edu/

Student Applications for Summer Opportunities:

  • Advanced Undergraduate Research Award (AURA): Undergraduate students can apply for funding to support their own research with the help of a UT faculty mentor. Due March 31 https://studentsuccess.utk.edu/urf/getting-started/find-opportunities/aura/  
  • COMING SOON! UTGSM Advancing Access to Careers in Medicine Scholars Program (AACMSP): The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine’s Advancing Access to Careers in Medicine Scholars Program (UTGSM AACMSP) is an 8-week summer program designed to improve knowledge of and access to careers in medicine and translational sciences among UTK undergraduates with outstanding commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.     • Please note that the website may not be updated before March 10, so please check back at that time. The application process will be similar to last year, but the descriptions of participating labs and the dates will be somewhat different from previous years.
