Happy 2023!

TEL is off to a great start with the addition of PebbleGo! PebbleGo is now available on TEL and TEL4U. Tennesseans now have access to PebbleGo’s Science and Social Studies modules in English and Spanish. PebbleGo is a great online research database for Tennessee’s youngest learners – Kindergarten thru 2^nd/3^rd Grade. It’s a fun and interactive research space with great educational content. All the read aloud components are read by English and Spanish speakers to model reading fluency. Don’t forget to share this new resource with your Instructional Coaches, ESL/ELL teachers and Spanish teachers! As with Gale and World Book, teachers and parents can look up Tennessee Curriculum Standards to see which articles and activities help to support the various standards. Homeschooling families will now be able to access PebbleGo from home or the library too!

How can I access PebbleGo?

PebbleGo is now available on TEL(tntel.info) and TEL4u.org. On the TEL website, it is highlighted as a feature resource but will be listed under Elementary Students, Language Learning. It is found under Homework Help and Look It Up! on TEL4u.

I want to set up my library/school specific URLs. How can I do that?

As Capstone is a new vendor, we are still getting accounts set up. This will be available shortly. I’ll send a follow up with instructions on how to use the TEL Link Generator to get your links.

Why would I want library/school specific URLs?

You’ll be able to see usage at your library – if you use the general link above, usage at your library will be counted at the consortia level. Admins for your location will also have the ability to manage the PebbleGo content your users have access to.

Our school already subscribes to PebbleGo – do I need to access the modules provided by TEL using the TEL website?

No. You can continue accessing PebbleGo in the same manner you were last semester – the newer modules should be added to your account. If you have any questions about your current PebbleGo access/contract, please reach out to Sarah Peterson ([log in to unmask]) or David Burrow ([log in to unmask]).

Do you have social media and other promotional materials available for PebbleGo?

Additional press release templates and TEL specific one-sheets will be available by mid January so if you are looking for something specific, please let me know!

When will PebbleGo be added to TEL Academy?

PebbleGo will be added to TEL Academy’s Homework Help by the end of January.

I want to send info out to my patrons/families?

PebbleGo put together two great intro videos in English and Spanish. These videos are great introductions to PebbleGo - https://www.pebblego.com/tn-video-tutorials.
