For TEL: Create Custom Collections in Gale eBooks |
The Tennessee Electronic Library has added new Gale eBooks to its collection that are now accessible for TEL users. Customizing your eBook collections to suit the needs of your students, teachers, faculty, and
patrons is a simple process. In this training you will learn how to create a custom collection to support topics of study, user interest, or course work and projects. Join this session to discover how easy it is for library admins to customize their Gale eBook
collections. |

There have been some questions about whether these are perpetual access ebooks. The 41 are lease titles that can be renewed annually during the course of contract. TEL will have the option to add newer titles from an annual list so every
fall I’ll be doing a survey and looking at usage to determine which titles to keep and what to add. TEL will have an updated ebook list every November 1st for the next 4 years but we will keep the most popular title. I’ll see what I can do to have
a customized KBart list available going forward.

Gale Ebooks contains all the ebooks titles. Gale K12 Ebooks is the subset of Gale Ebooks that are written for a K12 audiences.
Where can I find MARC records?
Go to https://support.gale.com/marc/ebooks, enter your TEL Location ID and download your MARC records. To just add the new books, search for TEL REF 2023.
