Hello, all! I saw Julie Glascock, SIS alum and VU Libraries Director of Acquisitions and e-resources at the Charleston Conference last week. VU is hiring an additional e-Resources librarian and Julie asked that I share the opportunity with our students: https://ecsr.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX/job/10003007/?utm_medium=jobshare

No experience in e-Resources management? That's o.k.! Here's what Julie said (emphasis mine):

"We are intentionally seeking a new librarian (soon to be degreed is okay too). We are lucky enough to have 3 experienced librarians on staff and are open to training someone with the aptitude on the specifics. We seek a candidate with transferrable skills and encourage them to highlight these on their cover letter. These skills might be working with technology, troubleshooting, follow-through on highly complex and inter-related tasks (thinking complex e-resource ordering, publisher package updates/journal transfers), great communication skills with confidence to participate in the process of reviewing workflows and to ask questions. Also, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team."

I will add the personal observation that Julie would be wonderful to work with and an incredible mentor. Here's her info if you have questions about the position:
