The Forest Management Bureau is currently advertising the State Lands Management Analyst position in People First.
This position is responsible for the administration and coordination of the State Forest geodatabase, which includes the timber management data model and other highly technical
specialized forest management computer programs. This position is also responsible for assisting field units with timber stand inventory and timber sale cruise technical guidance and oversight, and works with field
personnel to support the Forest Inventory and Sustainability System for forest inventory, timber sales, and reforestation projects. Further, this position conducts annual field visits to State Forests to review forest inventory data collection activities,
conduct individual cruiser check plots, and provide technical direction as needed.
The State Lands Management Analyst position is based out of the State Office in Tallahassee.
