Hi Ari,
I hope you’re doing well and your week is off to a good start! I wanted to pass along an upcoming SAGE webinar that may be of interest to you and the librarians in Tenn-Share: Data Skills for Community College Students on Tuesday, October 18 at 2 PM ET/11 AM PT.
Julia Bauder, Social Studies and Data Services Librarian at Grinnell College, and Dr. Aeron Zentner, Dean of Institutional Effectiveness at Coastline Community College, will be discussing the essential data skills students already have and where they should focus to further their development. They’ll also share their own experience and practical tips about how to best partner with faculty to further data literacy. This will be a good session for any librarian making choices about resources, course design, or faculty engagement strategies to support data literacy initiatives – a good preview to our presentation on SAGE Skills at the Tenn-Share conference, as well.
Here is the registration link: https://sagepub.zoom.us/webinar/register/2816642089060/WN_uidApy2pTK-An79qXwSfPQ. Folks can also register to receive the recording.
Please feel free to pass this along to other Tenn-Share librarians. Let me know if you have any questions, otherwise I hope to see you there!
Best,
Paige
