I am asking you to consider sharing the following message with your faculty, staff, and student networks regarding International Education Week coming up November 14–18. Help us fill up our calendar feed (tiny.utk.edu/IEW22) with international-focused events on Rocky Top! Events could be a social event focused on a particular country or culture, a concert featuring music by an international composer, a lecture on international agriculture, a discussion on the global supply chain, etc. You get the idea!

 

In November, I’ll be sharing a media kit with details and assets you can use to spread the word about the week’s festivities.

The Center for Global Engagement is preparing to celebrate International Education Week (IEW) from November 14–18 and we want to hear from you about events on Rocky Top that “celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.” IEW is a joint initiative of the US Department of State and the US Department of Education. It is part of the efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.

 

To help us celebrate IEW22 on Rocky Top, please consider hosting an event during the week of November 14–18 that relates to international education or exchange worldwide. If you’re already planning a campus event that fits this description and would like to feature it on our IEW calendar feed (tiny.utk.edu/IEW22) please “tag” your event with IEW22 when posting to the UT events calendar. Note that only UT calendar administrators can “tag” an event to be featured on a calendar feed.

 

If you plan to add your event to the IEW feed, contact Jason Moody [log in to unmask] so he can keep an eye out and make sure it makes it onto the feed. If you or your calendar admin need any help getting your event added, please let Jason know. 

 

Please note: student organizations are highly encouraged to list events on the IEW22 calendar feed, but students must contact Jason Moody directly to list their event. Students cannot post directly to the UT events calendar.
