Dear Colleagues,

Attached is a job description of the Library Tech 2 p-t Volunteer Coordinator position at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library.  This position ranges from 20-29 hours per week, dependent upon the number of volunteers that need interviewing, training, coaching or the need to support programs and events as well as participate in committees, such as the Programming Committee, Outreach Committee, and Strategic Planning Committee.  Being accessible is extremely important for our volunteers. Volunteer statistics are collected monthly and then a narrative is sent in monthly to administration for the Library Board report.

Presently, the Library has around 100 volunteers.  The Library cannot function without the volunteers who do the majority of shelving, shelf-reading, and picklists.

This person also receives a small fund from the Friends of the Brentwood Library for treats, gifts, etc. for appreciation of volunteer efforts.

Another part of this person’s position is to be able to work with outside groups, like the Friends of the Brentwood Library and the Emergency Staff for Brentwood and Williamson County.

Since this position has unique job responsibilities, it is a Library Technician 2 p-t and hourly wage is $17.77.  The link to submit your online application is   https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/brentwoodtn/jobs/3721264/library-tech-ii-volunteer-coordinator?page=1&pagetype=jobOpportunitiesJobs

Please share this link and attachment with others you know would like to work at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library.  We have fantastic staff and a community that truly appreciates our work.

Thanks!
