Dear Students and faculty who advise them! See below for a funded opportunity to apply skills in remote sensing to peace building in Colombia. This is advertised as funding for a PhD student, but undergrads who have the right experience should reach out to the person with this position because 1. Maybe it can become funding for a Master's level project OR 2. Maybe you could enter a PhD program straight from your Bachelor's degree. For those new to thinking about funded positions for graduate work, what this means is that a professor has a grant to do some specific work, and funds to potentially hire you to do that work as part of the work you do to earn a degree. Typically the funds will also pay your tuition. Some funded research assistantships pay great salaries. Others don't pay such great salaries, but they are still good deals. So, check it out!
