Are you a librarian who manages a social media account? We have something that can help! The TEL Social Media Calendar contains 52 weeks of pre-made social media posts and captions that you can download and use on your own social media. The posts highlight databases in TEL, and they’re themed around holidays and events. Many libraries across Tennessee have embraced the social media calendar—it’s a great way to promote TEL and add some content to your own social media. If you haven’t used the social media calendar yet, there is never a bad time to start!

The TEL Social Media Calendar is now linked on the TEL website! These resources can be found as “External Resource Guides” on the TEL Logos page (Library Staff à Promote TEL à TEL Logos).

If you’re interested in learning more about social media marketing and management, check out this free tutorial available on Niche Academy. In it, we share information on the importance of social media, strategies for targeting your posts to specific audiences, and sites you can use to create, download, and schedule social media posts.

We’re glad to see many libraries continuing to use the social media calendar. Thanks for promoting TEL!
