I am shocked and saddened by this sudden news about Missy. She was an integral part of every TLA conference for the past several years. Beyond her loss to her family and the Brentwood community, TLA has lost a true friend and supporter. I will miss her smiling face, quiet dedication, and willingness to turn her hand to whatever task needed to be done.

Oh, no. This is such sad, sad news. Missy was a beloved staple at TLA events….working hard with whatever committee was lucky enough to have her, smiling at all and sundry folks and spreading her love of libraries and library work. The world is a sadder place today. Brentwood and the Tennessee library community have lost a gem.

My heart goes out to her family and her colleagues.

Sincerely,

Kay Due
