Hello all - I'm looking to see if anyone might share with me your Research best practices that have been successful in analyzing and addressing disparities in grad student enrollment and assistantships and recruiting under-represented groups. Anything you have to share would be helpful as we review to see if there is anything else we are not currently practicing that we should consider. We recently received a response to our Research Civil Rights audit early this year and have one item included below that we are responding to: Review Area: Graduate Students NIFA Recommended Action: Develop Plan to Analyze and Address Disparities in Graduate Student Enrollment and Assistantships and Recruit Underrepresented Groups. OSU Research/Experiment Station should create a process to analyze and address underrepresentation of student enrollment for those identifying as two or more races, 3 Black/African American, Asian, and Hispanic or Latino. OSU Research/Experiment Station should develop a corrective action plan to address the underrepresentation in assistantships for those identifying as male, Asian, and Hispanic or Latino. OSU Research should develop a process for regularly identifying and recruiting underrepresented groups.
