Hello campus communicators! 

 

I’m reaching out on behalf of the International House to spread awareness of the International Student Conference coming up Friday, August 19 from 12:00–4:30 p.m. The conference will be held in Student Union 272 (ballroom). This event is specifically targeted to incoming international students. While this event is not required, we highly encourage all incoming international students to attend. The conference will begin with lunch and include a series of presentations from a variety of campus leaders who will share information about student resources and life in Knoxville specifically for the international student audience. Students will learn about campus dining, health and wellness resources, campus and community engagement opportunities, safety recommendations and procedures—and more! The conference concludes with a resource fair of campus organizations, offices, and international student organizations.

 

Please spread the word about this event to your international student audiences and keep this date in mind when scheduling your own individual college or department student orientations or welcomes.
