Having a graduate degree allows you to start at a higher level. --- Hi Michael, The White River National Forest has a Geospatial Systems Specialist (GS-301-09/11) opening under the Recreation, Lands, Heritage, and Tribal Relations Program. The duty station for this position is at the Supervisor's Office in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Could you forward this to the graduate students mailing list? A master's degree allows applicants to apply at the GS-9 level and a PhD allows for applicants to apply at the GS-11 level. If they don't have their master's or PhD yet but are graduating by the end of the summer, they should be fine to still apply since the federal hiring process does take a while.
