Hello!
It’s that time of year again. My name is Katlyn White, I am the wilderness volunteer coordinator for the Wenatchee River Ranger District on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest located in Leavenworth Washington.
We are currently searching for volunteers with an interest in Outdoor Education/Recreation to be a Volunteer Wilderness Ranger for the upcoming 2022 summer season. This position is full-time (40 hours a week, ~12 week commitment with some flexibility starting
June 7th). Individuals will ideally have experience being self-sufficient in remote settings, as duties include overnight backpacking trips 4 days/3nights a week. Individuals should also have a high level of comfort speaking to the public, as most duties are
within a high-use visitor area called the Enchantments.
This opportunity could be used as internship credit – if the school allows. Free housing will be provided, as well as a daily food stipend on days worked. This is a great way for folks to get a foot in the door for a future career in Land Management, Conservation
or Outdoor Recreation!
I have attached our outreach poster. Application can be found here:

Please share this with your student base, or anyone who may be interested in this opportunity. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Thank you for your help!
