THeSLA Spring 2022 Meeting Details 

 

When:

April 12^th, 2022 from 1-5 PM.

Where:

Knoxville, TN at the Knoxville Convention Center in Meeting Room 300B.

Optional:

As THeSLA will be held in collaboration with TLA, you may wish to attend the TLA meeting on Apr 13 and/or Apr 14 for an additional cost. TLA will also be meeting in the Knoxville Convention Center.

Registration Fee:

The cost of the instruction - 2 classes from Region 2 NNLM instructors- will be $30. This money goes to TLA, not to THeSLA, for the cost of using the Knoxville Convention Center.

Registration Process:

• If you are attending both TLA and THeSLA: Choose the “Registration is Now Open” link at https://www.tnla.org/page/2022Conference. Then register for the preconference event titled “2022 Preconference: Consumer Health Resources for Librarians (1 pm).”

Schedule:

• 1-1:30: Fellowship and networking
• 1:30 - 2:30: Class – “Medline Plus for Librarians,” taught by Elizabeth Roth and Rachel Whitney from NNLM Region 2.
• 2:30 - 3:00: Break
• 3:00 - 4:00: Class – “Health Educators and Prescription and Over the Counter Drugs Parts 1 and 2,” taught by Elizabeth Roth and Rachel Whitney from NNLM Region 2.
• 5:00 - ?: THeSLA business meeting and dinner at Café 4. (Dinner not provided by THeSLA). Those who are interested in joining us may email me at [log in to unmask] to sign up and for more information.
