TikTok took the world by storm a few years ago, was the most downloaded app of 2021, and continues to be very popular this year. Typically used by Generation Z, many businesses, and libraries, are starting to harness the engagement power of TikTok as a marketing tool. Register for this Know & Go session and learn how to use TikTok for marketing, readers' advisory, outreach, and programming. In this session, attendees will learn how to create a short video and post it to your library’s TikTok account, connect with TikTok users through hashtags, follows, and other methods, and understand TikTok's security and privacy policies.

Camera Ready Quick Library Video Tips and Takes - Monday, March 28, 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm Central

This session is for both the camera-shy and the camera confident. The expectation for delivery of services, including library services, through live or recorded video, has become universal. Library workers in every role are stepping in front of the camera more often - from facilitating programs to providing library instruction. Join us for basic tips and best practices on camera. In this session, attendees will learn how to recognize the increased opportunities for on-camera library services, implement basic tips and best practices for on-camera delivery of services, choose the tools and steps to incorporate in your library on camera approaches.
