Registration: https://usdot.zoomgov.com/webinar/register/WN_vOxg2PsyTseSK2EiUDy_bQ

Description and Presentations: Truck travel continues to increase, putting additional pressure on commercial motor vehicle enforcement personnel monitoring compliance with Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Size & Weight laws and regulations set by federal and state governments.  Forecasts of future truck travel point to steady volume increases, heightening the interest in the CMV enforcement community in pursuing the integration of enforcement technologies into their CMV enforcement programs.  Both public sector governments and private sector companies are taking steps to enhance their development and use of CMV enforcement technologies.  As examples, the states of Florida and Montana are actively pursuing and deploying enforcement technologies to support their programs.  On the private sector side, International Roadway Dynamics, Inc. (IRD) and Kistler Corporation are two of several firms offering technology-based enforcement packages supporting CMV Size & Weight compliance determinations.

This webinar will discuss what enforcement technologies Florida and Montana currently have in place and in development and review their future needs that would help in advancing their enforcement programs.  The webinar will also talk about what technologies IRD and Kistler currently have available and what kinds of enforcement technology innovations will be developed in the next five to ten years.
