This is a permanent, full-time, Staff Services Manager II (Specialist) position. The position may be headquartered in the City of Sacramento or a work at home assignment in California in concurrence with the State Library's telework agreement. Questions about the position? The most competitive applicants will have:

  *   Acumen to lead strategic partnerships and discussions to solicit stakeholder input with the ability to lead discussions toward common ground.
  *   Knowledge and experience of managing complex programs.
  *   Knowledge, experience, and understanding of the schools and libraries E-rate program.
  *   Knowledge of the California Teleconnect Fund.
  *   Knowledge, experience, and understanding of the concepts, principles, and issues relevant to broadband infrastructure, including the physical network opportunities presented by emerging wired and wireless technologies.
  *   Knowledge, experience, and understanding of the concepts, principles, and issue relevant to digital literacy and programs and services that can increase digital equity in communities
  *   Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to concisely summarize complex technical information.
  *   Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  *   Experience working with libraries and/or a passion for the critical work libraries do to support and strengthen communities.
