CORE Creative Ideas in Technical Services (CITS) invites speakers to present as part of the CORE Virtual Interest Group Week. The CITS session will take place virtually
on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 10-11 Central / 11-Noon Eastern.
Housed within the Core division of ALA, the Creative Ideas in Technical Services Interest Group was created to provide a forum for discussion of issues within the
field of technical services which are relevant to library staff at all levels, particularly those issues relating to the evolution of technical services as it affects and is affected by technology and greater interdependency between all library departments.
We encourage and seek out participation from anyone with an interest in the field of technical services - from public, academic, school, or special
libraries - regardless of experience, level or training. You do not need to be a member of ALA or Core to present or attend!
We look forward to providing an engaging session with 2-3 short presentations (20 minutes maximum) offered in tight succession + a brief Q&A session to follow!
We welcome your presentation proposals by Monday, January 31, 2022 with selection communicated by
Monday, February 7, 2022. We will be available to assist speakers with any technical concerns.
Please note that we welcome new presentations or presentations previously presented outside of CORE!
