USGS VizLab that focuses on water data visualizations for communicating with non-technical audiences? Me neither. Turns out
they’re hiring and have some informational panels coming up and they do an excellent job demystifying and explaining the federal hiring process. The following is from a recent post in the

Hi all! We're hiring Data Visualization Specialists at multiple levels of experience to contribute to science communication at USGS!
We seek creative individuals with experience taking complex, environmental datasets and developing static and interactive data visualizations using R, python, and/or javascript. Positions will be open to applications on USAjobs.gov from Wednesday
