15 – October 15), the San Jose State University School of Information held
a free symposium to discuss best practices in library services to meet the
needs of the Hispanic/Latinx community with greater impact, cultural
understanding, and sensitivity.

The iSchool’s webinar series continues tomorrow, October 29, with guest
speakers Nadia Rendon and Nicanor Diaz of the Denver Public Library, who
will chat about how to successfully leverage collaboration to celebrate
Hispanic Heritage Month. They will showcase the work that they did this
year along with some pictures of their programs. They will talk about how
they planned the events and the importance of partnering with other
departments in the library and community organizations to ensure the
success of the program.
