St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a scientific writer to
communicate with scientific and mainstream media about St. Jude research,
primarily research being published in scientific journals or presented at
scientific meetings.

The job requires an ability to develop and write for a variety of platforms
(web, social media, print). Responsibilities include interviewing, writing,
revising, and editing copy. The person in this job works collaboratively
with a variety of departments and individuals at St. Jude and ALSAC to
develop ideas and create content that communicate our science to different
audiences.

The science writer plays a valuable role in enhancing the scientific
reputation of St. Jude among the public, scientific community and others.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, communications, business
administration, education, or other healthcare field required

Master's degree preferred

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years of progressive responsibility and experience in a writing
field, communications, public relations, education or healthcare
disciplines required
