The UT One Health Initiative (OHI) and National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS) are proud to present the:

Graduate Student Research Swap and Social

Friday, October 22, 3:30 - 5:30 PM

Student Union Room 260

1502 Cumberland Avenue

(This event is intended to be held in-person; however, if we cannot safely do so, we will move to a virtual format.)

This event is an opportunity for graduate students to share with each other their diverse research topics (actual or intended!) to potentially find collaborative One Health research opportunities. One Health aims to promote global health by recognizing the interconnectedness of all living organisms including humans, animals, plants, and the environment in which they coexist. OHI and NIMBioS are sponsoring this event to increase the One Health systems approach in graduate student research at UT.

Event objectives are to:

Facilitate connections between graduate student researchers,

Help brainstorm ways in which student research may apply to larger collaborative projects, and

Develop interdisciplinary dialogues that address complex problems in any sector of One Health.

Participants will give brief introductions of themselves and their research interests followed by informal roundtable discussions. Refreshments will be provided, and an optional social will be held afterward off-campus.
