Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage primary functions and tasks related to electronic serials.
- Manage e-journal subscriptions from acquisitions to delivery, including receiving requests for new titles from faculty and librarians, ordering, invoicing, cataloging new subscriptions, registering and activating access for electronic journals.
- Serve as support for Electronic Resource Management Librarian in tracking databases, populating Alma ERM with all electronic resource licenses, and management of renewals.
- Work closely with Electronic Resources Librarian to develop library best practices for providing access to electronic collections.
- Run reports on electronic usage statistics and co-coordinate regular continuations reviews and assessment of resources.
Manage primary functions and tasks related to print serials.
- Manage standing order subscriptions, including ordering, invoicing, cataloging, receiving and checking in new materials, claiming missing materials, cancellations, and weeding.
- Manage print periodicals and microforms including, ordering, invoicing, cataloging, receiving and checking in new issues, claiming missing issues/volumes, cancellations, and weeding.
- Maintain union list information on file with OCLC.
Manage primary functions and tasks related to copy cataloging.
- Works with the Digital Access and Metadata Librarian to create and maintain an accurate, updated catalog of library resources.
- Locates appropriate bibliographic records and performs complex editing to improve and enhance the data according to national and local cataloging standards.
- Analyzes subject matter in order to assign appropriate call numbers and subject headings.

Required Qualifications:
- Must understand basic purpose of an academic library
- Aptitude for technical library work
- Basic understanding of acquisitions and cataloging practices and principles
- Ability to operate a computer and learn library computer software and related systems
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow directions
Required Education
Two years college; bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent experience or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
Required Experience
- Required: 2-5 years experience working in library collection management/technical services environment; other library and data entry experience helpful
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel, the Internet, and email
