Hi folks!
As you know, the window to apply for the
Emergency Connectivity Funds (ECF) opened on June 29th and the deadline to apply is August 13th. This is the $7.17 billion program (set forth by the FCC as part of the American Rescue Plan Act -ARPA- of 2021) for eligible schools
and libraries to cover reasonable costs of laptop and tablet computers, Wi-Fi hotspots, modems, routers and broadband connectivity purchases for off-campus (off-site) use by students, school staff and library patrons. This initial application window will
include eligible equipment ordered and received and eligible services delivered by June 30, 2022 and will not include eligible equipment and services received or delivered before July 1, 2021.
This is a separate program from E-Rate, though the funds are being administered by USAC and some similar processes will be used.
I have sent quite a bit of information out to the lists to help you, but you may still have some questions about the program and application process.
