Dear Colleagues,

Please consider completing the following survey for a project titled, “Teaching the Teachers: What’s Missing in LIS Doctoral Teacher Education?” to be presented at the 2021 ALISE conference.

This study examines the current status of teacher education in United States-based Library and/or Information Studies (LIS) doctoral degree programs. The study integrates analysis of program information, student perspectives, and institutional expectations to assess the current practices in shaping doctoral students into educators.

If you are a current doctoral student at or recent (< 3 years) graduate from an ALA accredited LIS doctoral program in the United States, please use this link to complete the 10-minute survey: https://milwaukee.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6mqZVQgct62Bu8C

Administrators and faculty: we’d be grateful if you would share with your students who are no on this list.

Thank you,
Meghan Dowell
