http://cbu.interviewexchange.com/jobofferdetails.jsp?JOBID=132686 Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN is accepting applications for the following position: Instruction & Outreach Librarian Job Description: Promotes the library and information literacy to the campus through individual research assistance and group instruction; produces handouts and tutorials in print and video; produces promotional material about library resources and services; provides reference service in person and online. Working Conditions: Fulltime, M-F, 9:00 AM - 5 PM; one evening per week; weekends in rotation * Provides and coordinates library instruction for all disciplines throughout the university * Assists students with research * Assists patrons with reference questions in all subjects using print and online resources * Coordinates outreach initiatives for the library and promotes library resources and services * Assesses the success of information literacy initiatives * Creates instructional materials * Promotes information literacy throughout the campus * Serves as liaison to assigned academic departments * Participates in collection development * Maintains professional development in librarianship * Serves on university committees as assigned * Other duties as assigned Requirements: Required: * Masters in Library Science or Masters in Information Sciences from an ALA accredited library/information program * Library experience * Excellent and demonstrable written and verbal communication skills * Presentation skills * Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Ability to learn and use new technologies * Ability to lift 40 pounds and push loaded carts Preferred: * Experience with Camtasia or other video-editing software * Experience with learning management systems Additional Information: Christian Brothers University is a Catholic university in the student-centered tradition of the De La Salle Christian Brothers.
