Dear all,

I will be teaching GEOG 312 - First Steps in GIS Programming in Fall 2021. Please find attached the flyer. No prerequisites in computer programming. All you need is a computer with Internet connection and a web browser.

In this course, students will learn Python fundamentals and how it can be used for interactive mapping and geospatial analysis. Check out some of the open-source geospatial packages I developed, such as geemap<https://geemap.org/>, leafmap<https://leafmap.org/>, and whitebox<https://github.com/giswqs/whiteboxgui>. Let me know if you have any questions.

Here is an animation you can create using geemap within a few seconds. Try it out at https://gishub.org/timelapse
