School Librarian Feedback Request

National studies indicate that students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and/or queer (LGBTQ) are experiencing significant social and emotional distress within their schools as a result of verbal, mental, and physical abuse from their peers and in some cases faculty and family members.

In an effort to ensure safety for LGBTQ students in Tennessee, an independent research study is being conducted to establish a better understanding of the statewide climate for LGBTQ students enrolled in Tennessee public schools. This survey is completely anonymous and will only be used to inform future training opportunities and the development of resource materials for school librarians statewide. Your participation is voluntary and greatly appreciated.
