The Cultural and Environmental Resource Management Graduate Program (CERM) invites students to apply to our interdisciplinary MS program to work with faculty in the Department of Geography at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA. The two-year program integrates faculty and course work from Geography, Anthropology, and Economics to develop research on issues related to cultural and natural resource management, environmental change, and policy.
The priority deadline for
Fall
2021 applications and funding is February 1st,
2021. Graduate assistantship funding is available on a competitive basis. Students applying from the 16 states within the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE)
are eligible for in-state tuition. GRE scores are not required for our program. For

Geography faculty conduct ongoing research in paleoecology, geomorphology, hydrology, conservation and land management, energy, transportation and human geography, GIScience, and critical
cartography (please see attachment or email faculty below). Faculty work with and mentor students to complete
original thesis research with a strong emphasis on fieldwork and/or collaboration with cultural and natural resource agencies or Tribal organizations.
