Understanding and Using Library Data

 

Do you really understand and use your library's data?

Effective collection, interpretation and display of library data informs library decision-making and service design.

 

This course serves as a primer for basic analytic concepts and methods and a refresher on tried-and-true statistics. Students will discuss concepts and draft a data analysis project.

 

This course consists of two two-hour sessions:

·     Thursday, December 3, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm CST

·     Friday, December 4, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm CST

Change Management

 

Libraries are constantly changing and adapting for many reasons. Managers, however, are not always sure how to help their staff understand and embrace the upcoming changes.

 

This course is designed to help you learn strategies for a successful transition, identify potential pitfalls, and anticipate staff response to a pending change in your library.

 

This course consists of two two-hour sessions:

·     Wednesday, December 9, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm CST
