Description and Presentations: The trucking industry continues to work to improve trucks’ operational sustainability. The initiatives supporting these efforts, which include the use of alternative, lower emissions fuels, more efficient
truck operations to increase fuel efficiency, and constructing trucks that get better fuel mileage, all help to reduce emissions; in many cases they also help reduce the financial bottom line for truck carriers. Various organizations, including truck carriers
and related organizations, equipment manufacturers, fuel companies, and both public and private researchers, are all undertaking initiatives to ensure trucking operations continue to become more sustainable and efficient; in some cases the benefits derived
from their initiatives have multiplied when they’ve worked together to find mutually desirable solutions.
This webinar will discuss three truck freight sustainability initiatives currently taking place, focused on renewable fuels, enhanced truck operations, and improved truck construction, that are taking steps to reduce truck emissions and
improve truck efficiency.
