Subject: [DDDHLIST] Community Engagement Academy

Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce a new initiative in the Office of Community Engagement and Outreach beginning this fall. The Community Engagement Academy (CEA) is an interdisciplinary professional development program designed for new UTK faculty (0-3 years) and graduate students who wish to learn the foundations of community engagement and engaged scholarship and apply knowledge to research and practice. CEA will provide participants with background literature on the history and origins of community engagement, facilitated discussion, project design, mentoring, and presentations to increase their knowledge and enhance their practice of community engagement and engaged scholarship.

Best,
